I had used Weather Tech mats for my vehicles for years but the sets that I have purchased in the last five years are clear proof that the quality has plummeted. I purchased a laser cut set for my 2010 Dodge Journey but after one winter's use, they began to buckle along the sides leaving big gaps between the car and the mat.
Therefore, snow and water began to accumulate under the mat causing a huge mess throughout the vehicle. I decided to give them another change and this past weekend I bought a set for my 2016 Jeep Cherokee. Their mats used to be made of this thick rubber and now it's very flimsy just like the ones that you purchase in Walmart.
I will wait and see after this winter is over but I just don't have faith that they will hold up to a Chicago winter. From what I can see, their quality is not the same as it once was.
